US stocks declined on Monday due to President Donald Trump's announcement of tariffs on China, Mexico, and Canada. However, the major averages pared losses after Trump announced a one-month delay in tariffs on imports from Mexico. The Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC), heavily weighted toward tech stocks, fell more than 1%, recovering some of its earlier losses. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 (^GSPC) dropped by around 0.6%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) decreased by 0.2%.
