Casella Waste Systems Inc. (CWST) reported fourth-quarter earnings of $4.9 million, beating Wall Street expectations. The Rutland, Vermont-based company had net income of 8 cents per share, excluding one-time gains and costs. Revenue was $427.5 million, also exceeding forecasts. For the year, Casella reported profit of $13.5 million, or 23 cents per share, on revenue of $1.56 billion. The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $1.78 billion to $1.81 billion.
