Salesforce Expects Surge in Agentforce AI Deals

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff predicts "thousands" of deals for its new Agentforce AI product in the ongoing fiscal quarter.

In an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Benioff stated, "We did about 200 deals in our third quarter; in our fourth quarter, we'll see thousands of Agentforce deals."

Salesforce's fiscal fourth quarter ends on January 31st.

The company pivoted its AI strategy in 2023 to focus on agents, which can automate tasks like customer support without human involvement.

Agentforce, launched last year, is priced at approximately $2 per agent conversation.

Benioff has emphasized market demand for AI agents and plans to hire over 1,000 salespeople to promote the new products.

"I've never seen anything go as fast at Salesforce," Benioff said of Agentforce.

Salesforce shares rose approximately 2% following Benioff's remarks, but later pared some gains. The company's stock has increased by 19% over the past year.
