Salesforce CEO Benioff Slams Microsoft's AI Tools, Touches on Agentforce Performance

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has criticized Microsoft's AI tools, claiming that the company's Copilot is simply a repackaged ChatGPT. This follows similar criticism from the Salesforce executive in the past.

Microsoft has brushed off Benioff's remarks, with a spokesperson declining to comment.

Salesforce's Agentforce, which competes directly with Copilot, has reportedly been performing well. The company closed 200 Agentforce deals in Q3, including new clients such as FedEx, IBM, and Accenture.

Benioff has expressed enthusiasm about Agentforce's growth, noting that it has exceeded expectations and generated significant interest. The company charges $2 per conversation for the service.

However, some analysts remain skeptical about Agentforce's monetization potential. Guggenheim analyst John DiFucci has downgraded Salesforce to a Sell rating, citing concerns about the company's ability to acquire assets and compete in the dynamic AI landscape.
