Illinois Tool Works (ITW) Reports Q4 Earnings Beat, Revenue Miss
GLENVIEW, Ill. - Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW) announced fourth-quarter net income of $750 million on Wednesday. On a per-share basis, the Glenview, Illinois-based company reported earnings of $2.54, exceeding analysts' estimates.
Thomson Reuters consensus expectations were for earnings of $2.49 per share.
ITW also disclosed revenue of $3.93 billion for the quarter, falling short of analysts' forecast of $3.98 billion.
For the full year, the equipment manufacturer reported net income of $3.49 billion, or $11.71 per share, and revenue of $15.9 billion.
Looking ahead, Illinois Tool Works projects full-year earnings in the range of $10.15 to $10.55 per share.
