Iran's Khamenei Rules Out Talks With US, Calls Deal 'Dishonorable'

Tehran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has dismissed the possibility of negotiations with the United States, stating that such discussions would be "unwise and dishonorable."

Khamenei's comments come in response to President Donald Trump's recent suggestion that he seeks a new nuclear agreement with Iran.

In a televised address on Friday, Khamenei asserted that discussions with the US would be ineffective in addressing Iran's domestic issues. He highlighted the US withdrawal from the previous nuclear deal and its failure to fully lift sanctions, emphasizing that Washington had violated the agreement.

While not explicitly ruling out future talks, Khamenei condemned the Trump administration's approach, stating that the US had disregarded its commitments and destabilized the region.
