Huntington Ingalls Industries Reports Q4 Earnings Miss
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - Huntington Ingalls Industries Inc. (HII) announced fourth-quarter earnings of $123 million on Thursday. The Newport News, Virginia-based company posted earnings per share of $3.15, falling below analysts' consensus estimate of $3.28.
HII's quarterly revenue reached $3 billion, also missing Street expectations of $3.03 billion. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had provided this forecast.
For the fiscal year, HII reported net income of $550 million, translating to earnings per share of $13.96. Annual revenue amounted to $11.54 billion.
