Charles River Laboratories Reports Strong Q4 Earnings, Exceeding Expectations

WILMINGTON, Mass. - Charles River Laboratories International Inc. (CRL) announced a loss of $215.7 million for the fourth quarter, or $4.22 per share. Adjusted for non-recurring costs, earnings reached $2.66 per share, surpassing Wall Street forecasts of $2.50.

The medical research equipment and services provider generated $1 billion in revenue during the quarter, also exceeding estimates of $975.3 million. For the full year, the company reported profit of $10.3 million, or 20 cents per share, with revenue reaching $4.05 billion.

Charles River expects earnings per share in the range of $9.10 to $9.60 for the upcoming fiscal year.
