Boeing Reports Q4 Loss, Misses Estimates

ARLINGTON, Va. -- Boeing Co. (BA) reported a net loss of $3.87 billion in its fourth quarter, ending a challenging year for the aerospace giant.

On a per-share basis, the loss amounted to $5.46. Excluding one-time items, the adjusted loss came in at $5.90 per share, falling short of Wall Street's expectations.

Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had forecast a loss of $3.22 per share.

Revenue for the quarter stood at $15.24 billion.

Boeing's stock has declined 1% year-to-date, while the S&P 500 index has gained 26%. Over the past 12 months, the stock has shed 13% of its value.
