Century Aluminum Reports Q4 Net Income of $47.7 Million

Chicago-based Century Aluminum Co. (CENX) reported a fourth-quarter net income of $47.7 million, translating to earnings per share of 47 cents. The aluminum producer generated revenue of $631 million during the period.

For the full year, Century Aluminum posted a net income of $339.4 million, or $3.29 per share, reversing a previous loss. The company's annual revenue amounted to $2.22 billion.

Since the start of the year, Century shares have risen by 10%. As of market close on Thursday, the stock was trading at $20.04, marking a 96% increase over the past 12 months.
