Beazer Homes Reports Q1 Earnings, Misses EPS Expectations

ATLANTA, Ga. (AP) - Beazer Homes USA Inc. (BZH) announced its fiscal first-quarter earnings of $3.1 million on Thursday. On a per-share basis, the Atlanta-based homebuilder reported earnings of 10 cents, falling short of analysts' estimates.

Zacks Investment Research surveyed three analysts who predicted earnings of 31 cents per share. However, Beazer surpassed revenue expectations with $469 million in the quarter. The three analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecasted $460.6 million.

Since the beginning of the year, Beazer shares have risen by nearly 1%. In Thursday's closing minutes, the shares declined by 15% over the past twelve months, reaching $27.70.
