Aon Reports Q4 Earnings, Beating Analyst Estimates

Dublin-based Aon PLC (AON) reported fourth-quarter net income of $716 million, equating to $3.28 per share. Adjusted for non-recurring costs, earnings reached $4.42 per share, exceeding Wall Street expectations of $4.24 per share as estimated by Zacks Investment Research.

Despite falling short of revenue expectations, Aon generated $4.15 billion in the period, compared to the $4.19 billion forecast by nine analysts surveyed by Zacks. For the full year, the company recorded a profit of $2.65 billion ($12.49 per share) and revenue of $15.7 billion.

Aon's stock performance has been positive in recent months, gaining nearly 4% in 2023, while the S&P's 500 index has risen by 27%. Over the last 12 months, the stock has seen a 25% increase.
