Chinese President Xi to Boost Private Sector Amidst Challenges

Chinese President Xi Jinping will host a symposium next week to galvanize sentiment in the private sector, attended by influential business leaders such as Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma.

This rare gathering underscores the multifaceted challenges faced by China's corporate ecosystem, including escalating US-China tensions and decelerating domestic economic growth.

Xi is expected to urge technology entrepreneurs to expand their operations both domestically and internationally amidst the intensifying Sino-US tech rivalry.

Confirmed attendees include Pony Ma (Tencent CEO), Lei Jun (Xiaomi CEO), Wang Xingxing (Yushu Technology founder), and an executive from Huawei Technologies.

Representatives from Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Yushu declined to comment on the symposium. The State Council Information Office also did not respond to a request for comment.
