Whirlpool Reports Q4 Loss, Exceeds Earnings Expectations

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Whirlpool Corp. (WHR) reported a fourth-quarter loss of $393 million on Wednesday, or $7.10 per share. Adjusted for non-recurring costs, earnings came to $4.57 per share, beating analysts' estimates of $4.39 per share, according to Zacks Investment Research.

The Benton Harbor, Michigan-based company saw revenue rise to $4.14 billion for the quarter. Whirlpool expects full-year earnings to reach $10 per share.
