Randstad CEO: DEI Policies Shift amid Trump's Executive Orders

Amidst policy changes targeted by President Trump, Dutch staffing giant Randstad's CEO expressed optimism that companies remain committed to inclusive work environments.

CEO Sander van't Noordende acknowledged a shift in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives following executive orders from the Trump administration. However, he emphasized that businesses recognize the importance of fostering an inclusive culture.

"We see companies stay the course on making sure they have an inclusive work environment where people feel a sense of belonging. And why? Because it's good for business," van't Noordende said.

Despite modifications to DEI programs, Randstad believes that companies are adapting to ensure that their work environments remain inclusive. These efforts aim to balance the need for inclusivity with concerns raised by Trump's executive orders.

Critics of the policy changes argue that they may exacerbate inequities and undermine progress made in safeguarding civil rights. However, van't Noordende's comments suggest that businesses are prioritizing the creation of inclusive workspaces.
