Universal Electronics Reports Fourth-Quarter Loss
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Universal Electronics Inc. (UEIC) reported a loss of $4.5 million in its fourth quarter, equivalent to 35 cents per share. Adjusted earnings, excluding one-time items, were 20 cents per share. Revenue for the period was $110.5 million.
For the full year, the company recorded a loss of $24 million ($1.85 per share) on revenue of $394.9 million.
Looking ahead to the current quarter ending in March, Universal Electronics projects a loss per share between 21 and 11 cents. Revenue for the fiscal first quarter is estimated to range from $87 to $97 million.
