Uber Sues DoorDash Alleging Anti-Competitive Practices

Uber Technologies has filed a lawsuit against DoorDash, alleging anti-competitive practices that have resulted in increased costs for both restaurants and consumers.

In a complaint filed in California Superior Court in San Francisco, Uber accuses DoorDash of coercing restaurants to use DoorDash as their exclusive or preferred delivery provider. This has allegedly harmed Uber's Uber Eats platform and led to millions of dollars in lost revenue.

Uber claims that DoorDash's practices have "unlawfully restricted its ability to grow Uber Direct," its first-party delivery platform.

In response, a DoorDash spokesperson stated that Uber's claims "have no merit" and are based on an inability to offer a compelling alternative.

Uber did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
