President Trump Considers DOGE Dividend for US Citizens

WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Donald Trump has expressed interest in distributing a portion of the savings generated by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to American citizens. Speaking at an investment conference in Miami, Trump outlined a plan where 20% of the savings would be returned to citizens as a "dividend" and another 20% would be allocated to reducing the national debt.

The concept aims to incentivize whistleblowing on wasteful spending, as citizens would benefit from identifying such inefficiencies. Trump emphasized, "They'll be reporting it themselves. They participate in the process of saving us money."

During a flight aboard Air Force One, Trump echoed his enthusiasm for the plan, stating "I love it." Musk had previously hinted at the possibility of a "DOGE Dividend" in a social media post.

DOGE's cost-cutting measures have resulted in the dismissal or layoff of thousands of federal employees. The potential dividend distribution is expected to generate significant interest among US taxpayers.
