Tesla Unveils Updated Model Y with Enhanced Features

New York, NY | January 27, 2023

Tesla (TSLA) has announced the release of an updated version of its Model Y in the US and Europe, bringing fresh excitement to its lineup. The redesigned Model Y boasts updated exterior and interior designs, enhanced suspension tuning, and numerous other improvements.

Priced at $59,990 before incentives for the Launch Series, the all-wheel-drive Model Y is the only trim currently available, with deliveries commencing in March. The previous generation Model Y remains available for purchase, with pricing ranging from $44,990 to $51,990.

Tesla introduced the new Model Y in China earlier this year and is now showcasing it in showrooms worldwide. Last year, the automaker successfully updated its Model 3 sedan, which was well-received by consumers due to its aging original design.

The refreshed Model Y features distinctive Cybertruck-inspired light bars on its front and rear, hinting at a shift in Tesla's design philosophy. The updated product range is expected to boost Tesla's sales, following a decline in deliveries in 2025.

Tesla plans to launch a lower-priced EV in early 2025, along with other new vehicles to regain its 50% growth rate compared to 2023. The company will release its Q4 and full-year financial results on January 29th.
