Tesla Unveils Updated Model Y, Promises Cheaper EV

Tesla recently launched an updated version of its Model Y, featuring exterior and interior enhancements, suspension tuning upgrades, and more. The "new Model Y" starts at $59,990 (before incentives) for the "Launch Series" and leases for $699 with $2,999 down.

The all-wheel-drive Launch Series Model Y is currently the only available trim, with deliveries commencing in March. Previous Model Y trims (long-range rear-wheel drive, long-range all-wheel drive, performance all-wheel drive) remain on sale but without specified availability timelines.

Tesla's refreshed Model Y showcases angular styling akin to the Cybertruck and Cybercab, hinting at a new design direction. The vehicle's enhanced product range aims to boost sales after a disappointing Q4 delivery miss.

In 2025, Tesla plans to introduce a lower-priced electric vehicle and other new models to regain its 50% growth rate. The company will release Q4 and full-year results on January 29th.
