Japanese Group Proposes Tesla Investment in Nissan

A consortium of Japanese executives, including a former prime minister, has proposed that Tesla invest in Nissan. The plan, spearheaded by ex-Tesla board member Hiro Mizuno, has the backing of former premier Yoshihide Suga and his former aide Hiroto Izumi.

The group believes Tesla would be a strategic investor due to its potential interest in acquiring Nissan's US manufacturing facilities. The proposal emerges after Nissan ended merger talks with Honda last week.

Tesla, Nissan, and Suga's office have not yet commented on the proposal.
