Roblox Reports Q4 Loss, Surprises on Earnings

Roblox Corp. (RBLX) announced a fourth-quarter loss of $219.6 million, equating to a loss of 33 cents per share. This outperformed analysts' estimates, who had projected a loss of 46 cents per share based on a survey by Zacks Investment Research.

The online gaming platform generated revenue of $988.2 million during the quarter, with adjusted revenue reaching $1.36 billion. Adjusted revenue slightly missed analysts' expectations, who had anticipated $1.38 billion.

For the full year, Roblox reported a loss of $935.4 million, or $1.44 per share, on revenue of $4.37 billion.

Looking ahead, Roblox expects revenue in the current quarter (ending March) to range between $1.13 billion and $1.15 billion. Full-year revenue is projected to fall within the range of $5.2 billion to $5.3 billion.
