Packaging Corporation of America Reports Q4 Earnings: Misses Estimates, Exceeds Revenue Expectations
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - Packaging Corp. of America (PKG) reported fourth-quarter net income of $221.1 million, translating to earnings per share of $2.45. Adjusted for non-recurring costs, earnings reached $2.47 per share, falling short of analyst expectations of $2.51 per share.
Despite the earnings shortfall, the company exceeded revenue forecasts with $2.15 billion, surpassing the $2.13 billion estimated by analysts.
For the full year, Packaging Corp. of America recorded a profit of $805.1 million, or $8.93 per share, on revenue of $8.38 billion.
