Marathon Petroleum Reports Strong Q4 Earnings, Beating Expectations
FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) - Marathon Petroleum Corp. (MPC) announced a fourth-quarter profit of $371 million, exceeding Wall Street expectations.
Earnings per share reached $1.15, while adjusted earnings came in at 77 cents per share. Analysts' average projections were for earnings of 6 cents per share.
Revenue for the quarter totaled $33.47 billion. For the year, Marathon Petroleum reported a profit of $3.45 billion, or $10.08 per share, on revenue of $140.41 billion.
