Mattel Beats Q4 Earnings Expectations, Misses on Revenue

Mattel Inc. (MAT) reported a fourth-quarter profit of $140.9 million, or 42 cents per share, on Tuesday. Adjusted for pretax gains, earnings were 35 cents per share, exceeding analysts' consensus estimate of 23 cents per share.

Revenue for the quarter was $1.65 billion, slightly below the Street forecast of $1.66 billion. For the full year, Mattel recorded a profit of $541.8 million, or $1.58 per share, on revenue of $5.38 billion.

Looking forward, Mattel anticipates full-year earnings in the range of $1.66 to $1.72 per share.
