Global Investment Firms Eye KKR's Potential Sale of Goodpack

KKR & Co.'s renewed efforts to explore a sale of container and logistics services provider Goodpack have drawn attention from global investment firms, including:

* Apollo Global Management Inc.
* I Squared Capital
* Stonepeak Partners

Preliminary interest has also been expressed by:

* Brookfield Asset Management Ltd.
* Chinese firms such as China Merchants Group Ltd. and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co.

Goodpack's valuation could reach approximately $1.5 billion, indicating early-stage considerations that may or may not lead to a transaction. Representatives from KKR, Apollo, Brookfield, I Squared, and Stonepeak declined to comment, while China Merchants and CIMC have yet to respond to requests for comment.

KKR acquired Goodpack in 2014 and delisted the company. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2019, the private equity firm considered a potential sale, according to previous reports by Bloomberg News.

Goodpack specializes in providing reusable containers to shippers for transportation via road, rail, or sea. The company claims to have over 4 million containers deployed across 5,000 delivery and collection points globally.
