KF Aerospace Acquires Replacement Aircraft for Purolator's Regional Fleet

KF Aerospace is implementing a fleet modernization plan to enhance its air cargo operations for Purolator in British Columbia. The company has acquired a used ATR72-500 freighter from ACIA Aero Leasing in Dublin, scheduled to join its fleet in April 2023.

Under a renewed 10-year contract with Purolator, KF will also add two containerized ATR72-500 freighters to replace aging Convair 580s. The ATR72-500 is designed to accommodate bulk cargo and will require minimal modifications for integration into KF's service.

KF has already converted its first ATR72-500 for cargo operations at its Kelowna facility, with a third aircraft to be sourced later this year. This fleet upgrade is expected to improve fuel efficiency, enhance flexibility for diverse cargo handling, and support Purolator's expansion into new markets.

Purolator's regional network connects major cities in British Columbia to its hub at Vancouver International Airport. The carrier partners with various airlines and carriers to transport packages across Canada.

This fleet modernization aligns with KF Aerospace's commitment to providing high-quality aviation services and meeting the evolving demands of the air cargo industry.
