Kentucky Governor Promotes State at World Economic Forum

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear engaged in an unprecedented 25 meetings with corporate leaders during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The meetings aimed to attract foreign investment and highlight Kentucky's potential for business expansion.

Governor Beshear emphasized the state's skilled workforce and business-friendly environment. He met with executives from foreign-owned companies that employ over 116,000 Kentuckians, including BMW, Toyota, and LG Energy Solution.

Beshear also participated in panel discussions on manufacturing, workforce development, and electric vehicles. Kentucky is a leader in the EV battery sector, attracting significant investments and creating jobs.

Political strategist Mark Riddle believes that Governor Beshear's involvement at the World Economic Forum will benefit both Kentucky and his political aspirations. By showcasing Kentucky's strengths, Beshear has positioned himself for potential future endeavors.

Since taking office in 2019, Governor Beshear has overseen more than $35 billion in investments and the creation of over 59,800 jobs. Despite these successes, he acknowledged the importance of global collaboration and the potential impact of tariffs on global business.
