J&J Snack Foods Q1 Earnings Miss Expectations, Revenue Tops Forecasts

MT. LAUREL, N.J. (AP) — J&J Snack Foods Corp. (JJSF) reported a net income of $5.1 million for the fiscal first quarter. This translates to earnings per share of 26 cents.

After adjusting for one-time items, earnings per share came in at 33 cents, falling short of analysts' estimates of 62 cents per share.

However, the drink and snack maker's revenue of $362.6 million exceeded market expectations. Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had predicted $361.5 million in revenue.
