Nissan and Honda Officially End Merger Talks

TOKYO (Reuters) - Nissan and Honda have officially ended their merger discussions, according to a report by broadcaster TBS. Both boards voted on Thursday to terminate negotiations.

Representatives from both companies declined to comment on the report.

This development follows earlier reports of unresolved differences between the two automakers. Nissan reportedly wanted a dominant role in the merged entity, while Honda sought a more equal partnership.
