Harmonic Reports Q4 Profit Beat, Q1 Guidance

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Harmonic Inc. (HLIT) reported a fourth-quarter profit of $38.1 million, or 32 cents per share. Adjusted for stock option and pretax expenses, earnings were 45 cents per share, exceeding analysts' consensus of 37 cents.

Revenue for the quarter reached $222.2 million, also surpassing estimates of $213.5 million.

For the full year, Harmonic reported a profit of $39.2 million, or 33 cents per share, on revenue of $678.7 million.

For the current quarter ending in March, Harmonic projects earnings per share between 2 and 8 cents and revenue between $120 million and $135 million.

For the full year, the company expects earnings per share in the range of 43 to 68 cents and revenue between $585 million and $645 million.
