Google Ireland Agrees to Settle €326 Million Tax Dispute with Milan Prosecutors
Milan's prosecutors have requested the dismissal of a tax evasion case against Google Ireland Ltd. after the company agreed to pay €326 million ($340 million) to settle the claim.
The request comes following Google's agreement to pay €326 million to settle the claim, which stemmed from unpaid taxes and penalties dating back several years.
In 2022, Rome demanded €1 billion from Google in unpaid taxes and penalties, part of a larger ongoing dispute between the Italian authorities and the US tech giant.
