Globe Life Reports Strong Q4 Earnings, Tops Estimates
MCKINNEY, Texas (AP) - Globe Life Inc. (GL) reported a net income of $255.2 million in its fourth quarter, amounting to earnings per share of $3.01. Adjusted for investment costs, earnings per share reached $3.14, surpassing analysts' expectations.
Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had projected earnings of $3.10 per share. The life and health insurance company posted revenue of $1.47 billion, with adjusted revenue at $1.46 billion, falling slightly short of the $1.48 billion consensus estimate.
For the full year, Globe Life reported a profit of $1.07 billion, or $11.94 per share, on revenue of $5.8 billion.
The company anticipates full-year earnings in the range of $13.45 to $14.05 per share.
