Microsoft Probed by French Antitrust Agency Over Bing Quality Concerns

France's antitrust watchdog is investigating Microsoft, alleging that the tech giant may be compromising the quality of search results to favor its own Bing technology over smaller rivals.

According to Bloomberg, the competition authority, citing its policy of confidentiality, declined to provide details about the ongoing probe. A Microsoft spokesperson has yet to respond to a request for comment.

The investigation, if substantiated, could result in formal charges and hefty fines against the American company.
