Foreign-Branded Smartphone Shipments in China Rise 0.6% in December
Beijing, China - Shipments of foreign-branded smartphones, including Apple Inc's iPhone, increased by 0.6% year-on-year in China during December, according to data released by the government-affiliated China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
Based on CAICT's figures, foreign-branded smartphone shipments in China reached 3.74 million units in December, up from 3.72 million units in the same month in 2021. As the leading foreign smartphone brand in China, Apple's performance significantly influences overall foreign-branded smartphone shipments in the market.
Overall smartphone sales in China surged by 22.1% year-on-year to 34.53 million units in December, as per CAICT's data.
