ECB Outlook and Risks

The European Central Bank (ECB) anticipates ongoing economic headwinds in 2025 but maintains that conditions for recovery remain intact. It forecasts GDP growth to accelerate from 0.7% in 2024 to 1.1%.

However, geopolitical factors, including US tariffs on European goods and potential auto levies, pose risks to the economic outlook.

Employment Growth Slows

Employment growth decelerated in the final quarter, with a 0.1% increase compared to 0.2% in the previous period.
