Essent Group Ltd. Reports Fourth-Quarter Earnings of $167.9 Million
Hamilton, Bermuda - Essent Group Ltd. (ESNT) reported fourth-quarter earnings of $167.9 million on Friday. The Hamilton, Bermuda-based company had a profit of $1.58 per share, which fell short of Wall Street expectations.
Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research predicted average earnings of $1.67 per share.
The mortgage insurance and reinsurance holding company generated revenue of $315 million in the quarter. For the year, Essent Group reported a profit of $729.4 million, or $6.85 per share, with revenue of $1.24 billion.
