Equifax Reports Q4 Earnings, Tops Estimates

ATLANTA (AP) - Equifax Inc. (EFX) reported fourth-quarter net income of $174 million, or $1.39 per share. Adjusted earnings, excluding one-time items, reached $2.12 per share, exceeding Wall Street analysts' forecasts.

Despite exceeding earnings estimates, the credit reporting company's revenue of $1.42 billion fell short of analysts' expectations of $1.44 billion.

For the full year, Equifax reported net income of $604.1 million ($4.84 per share) on revenue of $5.68 billion.

Looking ahead, Equifax expects first-quarter earnings per share between $1.33 and $1.43 and revenue between $1.39 billion and $1.42 billion. For the full year, the company projects earnings between $7.25 and $7.65 per share and revenue between $5.89 billion and $6.01 billion.
