Emerson's Final Offer for Aspen Technology: $265 Per Share
Emerson Electric has announced its "best and final" offer to acquire Aspen Technology at $265 per share. The offer follows opposition from activist investor Elliott Management, which recently invested over $1.5 billion in Aspen.
UBS analysts believe Emerson's break price is approximately $202, making it less likely for the deal to fail due to insufficient tendering of shares. Emerson currently owns 57% of Aspen.
The all-cash tender offer expires on March 10th, contingent on receiving the minimum required number of shares.
