ECB Extends Work-from-Home Policy for Two Years

The European Central Bank (ECB) has extended its work-from-home policy by two years, allowing staff to work remotely for approximately 50% of their time. This move comes as many other organizations have begun reversing their remote work policies.

The ECB, the world's second-largest central bank, will continue to permit employees to work 110 days remotely each year. Staff are not required to be physically present in Frankfurt during their time away.

According to the ECB, 95% of its employees have utilized the teleworking policy, spending an average of 57 days away from the office. The policy has not negatively impacted internal and external communication.

A staff survey revealed that 80% of employees believe their managers perceive their work the same as before, while 88% report positive impacts on their work-life balance.
