Carlyle Appoints Brad McCarthy as Managing Director and Asia Pacific Chief of Global Wealth

Investment firm Carlyle has announced the appointment of Brad McCarthy as its new Managing Director and Asia Pacific Chief of its global wealth division. In this role, McCarthy will be responsible for expanding Carlyle's wealth platform in the region, with a focus on enhancing client offerings.

Prior to joining Carlyle, McCarthy held the position of Head of Alternative Investment Sales for Asia Pacific at Citi Private Bank and Global Wealth. He also brings experience from his previous roles at Permal, a British investment firm, and BT Financial Group, an Australian wealth management company.

Carlyle's presence in the Asia Pacific region has seen significant growth in recent months. In October 2024, Carlyle-backed Rigaku Holdings raised approximately 129 billion yen ($829.10 million) in its Tokyo offering.

Additionally, Bloomberg reports that Carlyle is exploring an initial public offering for engineering services firm Quest Global Services in India, which could raise around $1 billion.
