BorgWarner Reports Q4 Loss, Beats Earnings Estimates

BorgWarner Inc. (BWA) announced a fourth-quarter loss of $405 million, reversing a profit in the same period last year. Despite the loss, adjusted earnings of $1.01 per share surpassed the average analyst estimate of 92 cents per share.

Revenue of $3.44 billion slightly missed Street forecasts of $3.48 billion. For the full year, BorgWarner projects earnings between $4.05 and $4.40 per share, with revenue ranging from $13.4 billion to $14 billion.

BorgWarner shares have declined 2% year-to-date, underperforming the S&P 500's 27% gain. Over the past 12 months, the stock has shed almost 7%.
