Boeing Confident in Supply Chain, Air Force One Delivery

In an interview, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg expressed confidence amid potential tariffs from the Trump administration, citing the company's domestic production and export-oriented focus.

Ortberg highlighted Boeing's collaboration with the administration to expedite the delivery of new presidential aircraft, Air Force One. Despite delays and cost overruns, Ortberg indicated efforts to address the president's request for an earlier delivery date.

To reinforce the company's strengths, Ortberg aims to divest non-core assets, primarily from the defense, space, and services divisions, while maintaining the streamlined commercial airplanes business. Ortberg anticipates a ramp-up in production rates for the 737 MAX program, reaching 38 airplanes per month, with potential approval for further increases later this year. Additionally, 787 production is projected to rise to seven per month in 2025.
