BMW CEO Oliver Zipse to Step Down
Munich, Germany - BMW Chief Executive Officer Oliver Zipse will not extend his contract beyond summer 2024, when it expires, according to sources familiar with the matter.
"No further contract extension is planned," the source was quoted as saying.
Zipse has been leading BMW since 2019 and has overseen the company's transition towards electric vehicles. He has also been instrumental in driving forward BMW's digital transformation.
The reasons for Zipse's decision to step down are not yet known. A successor has not been announced.
