Berkshire Hathaway Adjusts Stock Holdings, Invests in Constellation Brands

Berkshire Hathaway, led by investor Warren Buffett, has disclosed a new investment in the alcoholic beverage producer Constellation Brands. The company has also reduced its holdings in Citigroup and Bank of America.

According to a regulatory filing, Berkshire acquired 5.62 million shares of Constellation Brands at a value of $1.24 billion. This acquisition marks a significant step for Berkshire as it continues to diversify its portfolio.

Meanwhile, Berkshire reduced its stake in Citigroup by 74%, holding 14.6 million shares. Additionally, the company lowered its Bank of America holdings by 15%, leaving it with 680.2 million shares. Bank of America had previously held the distinction of being Berkshire's second-largest common stock holding.

Notably, Berkshire maintained its position in Apple, holding 300 million shares as of the end of December 2024. This remained unchanged from September 30th of the same year. The company had previously reduced its Apple holdings significantly, owning 790 million shares at the end of 2023.
