Banco Santander-Chile Reports Strong Q4 Earnings
Santiago, Chile - Banco Santander-Chile (BSAC) announced fourth-quarter profit of $285 million on Friday. The Santiago, Chile-based bank reported earnings of 61 cents per share, exceeding Wall Street expectations.
Analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had forecast earnings of 60 cents per share. BSAC's revenue for the quarter reached $1.16 billion, with net interest income of $696.1 million. Both figures topped market projections.
For the full year, the company reported a net profit of $884 million ($1.88 per share) and revenue of $2.54 billion.
