Appian Reports Q4 Loss, Surpasses Revenue Estimates

MCLEAN, Va. - Appian Corp. (APPN) announced a loss of $13.6 million in Q4, amounting to a per-share loss of 18 cents. Adjusted earnings were less than 1 cent per share.

Analysts' consensus estimate was for a loss of 1 cent per share. The McLean, Virginia-based company's revenue for the period was $166.7 million, exceeding market expectations.

For the full year, Appian's loss narrowed to $92.3 million, or $1.26 per share, while revenue reached $617 million.

In Q1, the company anticipates per-share earnings between 2 cents and 5 cents and revenue between $162 million and $164 million.

For the full year, Appian projects earnings between 17 cents and 22 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $680 million to $684 million.

Appian's stock has declined 3% YTD but has lost 15% in the past 12 months.
