Ametek Reports Q4 Earnings Beat, Revenue Miss
Ametek Inc. (AME) reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of $1.67, exceeding Wall Street expectations of $1.84. Adjusted earnings per share were $1.87.
The Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based company reported revenue of $1.76 billion for the quarter, falling short of analysts' projections of $1.81 billion.
For the full year, Ametek posted earnings per share of $5.93 on revenue of $6.94 billion.
For the current quarter ending in March, the company expects earnings per share between $1.67 and $1.69. Full-year earnings are projected to be in the range of $7.02 to $7.18 per share.
Ametek shares have gained 2% year-to-date, outperforming the S&P 500 index's 26% rise. The stock has appreciated 11% over the past 12 months.
