Ameren Reports Mixed Q4 Earnings, Misses EPS Expectations

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Ameren Corp. (AEE) announced fourth-quarter earnings of $207 million on Thursday, translating to 77 cents per share. The results fell short of the 79 cents per share consensus estimate from five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research.

Revenue for the quarter reached $1.94 billion, surpassing the $1.76 billion anticipated by four analysts polled by Zacks. For the full year, Ameren reported earnings of $1.18 billion ($4.42 per share) on revenue of $7.62 billion.

Looking ahead, the utility expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.85 to $5.05 per share.

Ameren's stock has climbed 10% year-to-date, outpacing the S&P 500's 4% gain. At the close of Thursday's trading, shares were valued at $98.27, representing a 44% increase over the past 12 months.
