Airbus CEO: Group Performance Exceeds Expectations Despite Economic Headwinds

PARIS (Reuters) - Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury has reassured staff that the company concluded 2024 in a stronger position than anticipated, surpassing the profit warning issued last summer. However, he acknowledged challenges posed by deteriorating international conditions and escalated business risks.

In an internal memo viewed by Reuters, Faury noted that the group's operational performance exceeded initial concerns. Despite adjusting its financial guidance in July, Airbus's year-end results surpassed expectations.

An Airbus spokesperson declined to comment on the internal correspondence.
